There is a small room for families to attend the talks at the conference hall, located at the back of the ground floor. The room is soundproof and the talks are broadcast into the room. The room has a large glass window that lets you look into the hall, as shown in the pictures below. Everyone is welcome to use this room, but please consider giving priority to families with children.
We offer childcare for kids from around 3 months old, when they can hold their heads up, to about 12 years old. This service will be free of charge and the location will be within easy walking distance of the conference venue. We will only disclose the location to childcare users. The childcare service will run during the conference hours (e.g., 9am to 6pm including lunch time), except for the excursion on Wednesday afternoon and the conference dinner on Tuesday night (children are welcome to join these activities).
The service will be provided by the Hiroshima-based professional childcare company, Qoonea Co., Ltd. You can find their official website here: https://qoonea.com/ (Japanese only). They have a lot of experience in childcare at conferences in Hiroshima. During the conference hours, we will have a Japanese-English translator at childcare.
Please note that we expect parents/guardians to provide things that their children need, such as sanitary goods (e.g., diapers, wipes), changes of clothes, nursing bottles, snacks, drinks (except for water), lunch (except when you plan to have lunch with your children).
We will post a childcare application form when the conference registration page is open. We will only be able to accept children with pre-application. No onsite application will be available, so you must apply in advance. When you apply, you will have to agree to the terms and conditions of the service: Terms and Conditions for Childcare.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask the LOC or the LOC chair, Hanae Inami.
